Episode 33: Bob Nightengale

On this episode of the Replacement Level Podcast USA Today national baseball writer Bob Nightengale joined me to discuss the Hall of Fame. Bob has been a Hall of Fame voter for nearly two decades. He discussed in great detail who he plans to vote for in 2014 and more importantly, why. Bob explained why he votes for “the steroid guys” and why he thinks the writers are collectively “letting people down” by keeping them out.

Bob also offered some suggestions on how to improve the voting process, and gave his thoughts on Deadspin purchasing a Hall of Fame vote.

This is an in-depth look inside the voting process from one Hall of Fame voter.
