Episode 52: Vinnie Chulk

vinnie-chulk

This episode of the Replacement Level podcast features Vinnie Chulk. Vinnie played in the majors for parts of eight seasons and he joined me to discuss his career from draft day to retirement.

He talked about breaking in with the 2003 Blue Jays, playing in the steroid era, and how the scouting reports he would receive on opponents changed as analytics came into the game. He also spoke about his new job as an agent and offered some insights on draft season from that perspective.

Vinnie also shared some stories on playing in Japan and on some of his former teammates including Barry Bonds, Roy Halladay, and Kenta Maeda.

I hope you listen to and enjoy the interview. It can also be downloaded for free on iTunes.
